Let's get real...
These are not your parents wedding photos, and they won't look like everyone else's wedding photos either. Here, the focus is on authenticity: real emotions, real reactions, real memories. I'm not about the overly pose-y or fake laughs, I'm about meeting you where you're at and photographing you as you are. I want to tell your story through images that will take you back to this amazing day.
How do we do this?
Simple. I take the time to actually get to know you and allow you to get to know me. From the moment you inquire, my goal is to get to know you, both individually and as a couple. I'm not just interested in your wedding day: I'm interested in your entire story from start to finish. I always try to meet up in person with each couple before you book, because I believe authentic, in person interaction is the key to determining if we are a good fit. I want to get coffee, drinks, food, or whatever you like at your favorite spot. On top of that, all my wedding packages include an engagement session because working with you prior to your wedding day is so important to me. I want to make sure that you not only know me, but feel comfortable in front of my camera. By the time we hit your wedding day, I want to be so much more than a photographer to you. I want to be as invested as all of your guests. I want to be a friend who laughs with you, tears up at your vows, and is beyond psyched for the journey you are pursuing together.
"But what if we're awkward or not very 'photogenic'?"
For one, I absolutely doubt that's true. Second, don't worry about being anything other than yourself, let me handle the rest!
Anyone can ask you to smile for the camera, or hold hands, but what about the candid moments and authentic laughs? Of course we will do some posing and smiling, but the focus will be less on the stiff poses and more on the relaxed and fun interactions. I will always tell you what to do with your hands, but I still want you to feel like yourself and see your relationship through the images we capture. The goal is to foster sweet, intimate moments, not synthetically create them.
What about on the Wedding Day?
My goal on your wedding day is not only to document your day beautifully, but to make sure you get to focus on your new spouse rather than the stress of the day. I want to take on all the little things, get people in the right spot, and help everyone keep to the timeline so you don't have to. Your wedding day is about your love for one another, so that's where I want your focus to be all day long. I try to be as laid back and flexible as I can be, because the last thing I want to do is add stress to your plate. Though we will work together throughout your day, expect the time I have with the two of you to be intentional. That time will be an opportunity to slow down and go back to root of the event and only focus on one another.

Stephanie & Jedidiah
Stephanie and Jed were married on a Monday in October at Hidden Meadow & Barn in Pepin, WI. Their day was filled with simple details that allowed for the beauty of the venue and their relationship to shine through. They made their faith a primary element of their day through bible verses, worship, prayer from friends and family, and a foot washing ceremony. Add trips to the lake, cake smashing, and a sparkler send off and you really have the most perfect October wedding.
Sierra & Joey
Sierra and Joey were married in the heart of Madison, WI at the Edgewater Hotel. The day had stunning details ranging from gorgeous florals, to chic modern black and white elements. Sierra is originally from upstate New York, so she wanted to feel like she was in the woods. Floral Expressions created this stunning effect through dripping overhead greenery throughout the reception space. Olive Branch Events absolutely nailed the design of this beautiful event and getting to document it was such a privilege. Sierra and Joey had a shorter ceremony before retiring to their reception where they shared personalized drinks and heartfelt speeches that had everyone tearing up. They ended the night dancing away to their live band. This was one of the most magical wedding days, and I could not be happier to have been a part of it!
Kelsey & Aaron
Kelsey and Aaron were married at the Excellence El Carmen in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic! It was truly one of the most amazing opportunities! Their December wedding truly felt like a little slice of paradise. They chose more neutral colors and décor to allow the beauty of the resort to really shine through. Though the scenery was beautiful, it really was Kelsey and Aaron's love for one another that made documenting this day so amazing.
Kirstin & Sam
When Sam and Kirstin started talking about their wedding, Sam said "I always pictured getting married at my parent's house." The couple chose to do just that, and traveled all the way from Colorado to have their dream wedding lakeside in Wisconsin. The couple are avid skiers (both snow and water) and it's a huge part of how they met, so being near the water was essential. The couple's wedding captured all things woodsy and cozy. Pure Events worked with the two to put together all the details which included stunning florals, mismatched vintage dishware, and a seating arrangement based off of the surrounding lakes. There were tons of emotions throughout the day as the couple exchanged a first look and later vows. The evening finished off with a boat ride and dancing. This day was such a joy to document and be a part of!
Megan & Mack
Megan and Mack were married in December of 2021 at The Mill in Chetek, Wisconsin. Their wedding had a classic Christmas feel, with simple and modern touches. A big highlight was Grandpa's vintage sleigh and a beautiful horse we got to work with during their photos. Lots of laughs, some tears, and even dancing on the bar made this wedding one for the books!
